class descriptions
beginners
Our beginners yoga class is recommended if you are new to yoga, wish to revisit the basics, or want a slower paced class.
This class emphasises the foundation poses - standing poses, forward bends, twists & relaxation, and introduces shoulderstand. The class includes a wide range of yoga poses, helping you to develop flexibility and core strength, reduce stress, and give you skills to relax both your body and mind.
general
These classes are suitable for students of all levels of experience. The class consolidates the learning in beginners, and more experienced students may sometimes be given different poses. Sirsasana (headstand) is introduced, as well as other inverted (upside down poses) preparations, and backbends – further developing your strength, stability, stamina, concentration and alignment.
led practice
This class is for experienced students. Your teacher “calls” the practice rather than teaching the class, although guidance is given when necessary. A different group of asanas is explored each week – challenging and fun!
salutes / pranayama
Start your day with an hour of dynamic yoga practice, connecting the asanas with mindfulness of body and breath.
The class ends with simple breathing practices and savasana.
All levels are welcome.
